      ... on the other. The island is not more that a couple hundred yards wide in places. The fort is part of the National Park System so there is no development on this part of the barrier island. It’s really pretty deserted right now.

      Interesting note: The white sand is ground quartz that has was down the rivers over millennia from the Appalachian Mountains. Who knew water and time could make such beautiful sand from mountain rocks? ...

      ... got to the second level. Here there were rooms of Mr. Wentworth’s collections. They were neatly displayed with narratives that explained what we were looking at some rooms, but they were random collections. There was a room with Coca Cola memorabilia.       Howdy friends and family!

      We have made it to the sunny state of Florida where we have decided to ditch the whole bike-riding thing and become beach bums, bronzing our skins on the white sand beaches and drinking frilly cocktails with fun little umbrellas in them!
