From Waterford to Utica, we rode along the Erie Canal trail. A very nice path, which was quite flat for a change, that took us through forests and wooded areas. On our fourth day, we cycled around 90km. We spent our first night inside, at Michael's place, a very kind guy who owns a diner in Fultonville, NY. ... out from Kara's house toward Fort Plain but found out on the way back that it had been a tail wind. I .found the stone dust path hard going at the end. Nothing too much of note. I was tempted by the Brooks Barbecue sign in Canajoharieso.
