After a leisurely breakfast complete with the Sunday papers, we said goodbye to Paul and Ali and headed west towards Arthur's Pass, with our final destination for the day being Jacksons, some 30 Km beyond the pass. On Paul's recommendation we stopped at Castle Hill, a beauty spot composed of large limestone outcrops. Last day in the South Island
... then as it was lovely and warm we decided to have an ice-cream - i went for hokey pokey and banana berry flavours which was yummy!!
After having a dip in the spa pool at the hostel we made our tea and played some cards whilst having a couple of glasses of wine!!!
The next day we had a relaxing morning before we boarded the ferry at 2pm to go back to the North Island and Wellington.
