    ... to see the huge sprawling estates with enormous stately early 20th C mansions. As we approached the Atlantic beachfront, we arrived at Coopers Beach, signposted as “Rated the #1 beach in America”. This beach, like others in the area, is operated by the County, which means there is no commercial development to be seen, which is very nice, but what is not so nice is the sign saying that the fee is $40! Obviously we’ll be going to the places they want to see but since this is Peggy’s Cove in Halifax and Anne of Green Gables farm in Charlottetown we couldn’t be happier.

    ... a nautical motif or designed in an old-timey nature and painted in wild colors which certainly help to attract the tourists that they cater to. Streets are brick - think grey and unevenly placed, not red and meticulously groomed - which I found to be awesome. Being placed along the ocean doesn't hurt either, it certainly makes for a dramatic backdrop when taking a stroll along the boardwalk. Speaking ...
