Day 48. Rhode Island When we picked up our car the man behind the counter asked where were going - to see the Autumn fall - why, there are trees outside - exactly, can we go home now. Hum. We went to Plymouth, saw the Mayflower and the Plymouth Rock. Then onto Newport and the Burbankrose Guest House. The guest house is a very old, like very old, the stairs are so steep, ...

We then visited the Fort Adams which overlooked the port. After sampling
some traditional Rhode Island lemonade, a cross between lemonade and
a slushie, we saw some several schooners (2 masted boats) and some
Cup America boats from the 1980s sailing on the bay. It is these
boats that caused us to return two days later.

          After
our visit of Boston we headed back down to Newport for a two hour
