... cacti and wood was necessary. Carefully looking at the landscape showed pill boxes scattered around. These and bunkers were actually all over the island.

When we arrived at the summit the 360 degree view was breathtaking, or what breath was left after the climb. The actual light house is somewhat below the summit. There is a plaque in memory of a fallen military aircraft and crew. Actually we saw these in many locations during our trip.
