          ... of the shops on the main streets. We were passed on the road by an ATV driven by a woman with a 100 lb. black lab on the back. At least he didn't have to stick his head out the window. They have a chain saw carving contest every year (they carve wood using chainsaws) with the artwork displayed all around town. There were half a dozen "parks' that consisted of a couple of sculptures, a bench or table and about 200 sq. ft. We also saw ...

          ... We caught the tail end of the July 4 parade. There were some fair booths up with food and arts and crafts. An old fashioned pie eating contest. I don’t remember the last time I saw one of those. The winner had a great pie face. Local artists have created some interesting sculptures that are placed around town. Sandy discovered the local tradition of riding the salmon. ...
