Milford, in Pike County is the North gate to the 70,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. It was once called "the prettiest county seat in America" and is known since the 1880's as the "birthplace of the conservation movement". With this early belief to promote sustainability and responsible management of natural resources, Milford holds a lot of respect by its residents and visitors alike. In warmer months there ...

In Robert's Bar, Manhattan's rocked, wine flowed and we soundly slept the night away. We will return the treats when they visit us at the end of the month! Can't wait.

Mal and Sean had gone on Sunday to begin preparations for our Christmas there, and Mal had returned to drive ...

... hand. It's amazing. (Apparently we aren't the only ones who think so, because some of his work is in the Smithsonian.)

The best part is that he is an incredibly nice guy. He invited all of us (me, Phil, the kids, other cousins, aunts and in-laws) to gather around and watch him throw some of his signature "Shohola Bells" on his wheel in the studio. He patiently answered questions and demonstrated the ancient ...

    Snowman!

We had just enough snow for the kids to make a snowman. In this pic, Vivi had shed her coat, but Payson had only just put his on; they worked up quite a sweat rolling up all the snow in the whole backyard. But it kept falling after they went to bed, enough that we had a pretty white lawn in the morning. ...
