Our family road trip around Europe began at 5am when we set off for Calais. We had just got into Belgium when Will was sick in the car. Bleugh - it was like a scene from the inbetweeners!! Luckily Zac & Charlie (who were fast a asleep) escaped ...

... at Nam Jai Thai Fusion Restaurant in Ghent last week. We had a lovely meal accompanied by a Singha beer.

Seeing that we haven't booked any hotels yet (apart from one in Bangkok), I've made a provisional itinerary.

Ready for tomorrow for a little shopping for necessities, learning about the public transportation (oh lord) and hopefully obtaining a bike as well as riding it a little without dying.

Saw two dogs today. Along with learning some basic polite phrases in Dutch, I need to learn how to say "May I pet your dog?".. In fact I may make sure I know that in French as well.

Time for some sleep.
