Airports and aeroplanes
... I keep having to double take at people. I need sleep. I walk up to my departure gate a few hours early to discover the chairs up there don't have arm rests so I can lay out across them :-) why did I not walk up here sooner?! I manage about an hour laid down with my eyes shut(almost sleep but not quite). I've been in Hong Kong airport for 9 hours and now my flight's been delayed another hour. Another hour?! ... The menu includes classics such as drip toast (i.e. toast and dripping, with dripping usually consisting of beef fat), chips and gravy, pie and mushy peas, and treacle tart. Day 6
... me a pitying glance and showed me directly to my room. This morning, I made my way to the city centre and I have to admit, it was all a blank. I haven't actually recognised anything here yet apart from the Arts Tower, which even I can't forget (guess the trauma of the paternoster lift runs deep). Even the station has changed completely.
