    ... set in pleasant green rolling hills on the banks of the wide Missouri River. It was the journey itself which probably gave us most delight. Driving in the car is more like an armchair ride, rolling along the highway in old luxury and style. We refuelled at some point, and the total cost was $27 – it’s only the second fill-up since Tom bought the car.

And sure enough, there'd be a 4 miles long row of polite Midwesterners, and, JUST before the left lane really did close down, an SUV with New York [or Mass., or NJ] license plates would zoom up and muscle into line. It happened repeatedly, I kid you not. Just saying.
