... The coffee shop was still overflowing as I walked back home so I resisted again. Afternoon was for making my mum's now famous 1-1-1 slice for Feast in the evening. It was at Melvina's home,. I was honoured to meet more friendly open people and ended up in deep discussion with a neurological psychologist who has just submitted a paper to the White House to reform the education system! Tomorrow is Fort Worth to do a museum or two and to see some Texan Longhorn Cattle. ...

The locals say it's warm, but for a girl of the tropics I have my ever present cardigan on! Denton (or as it's promoted online - 'little d') is a university town; or I should say a 2 universities town about the same size as Townsville. ... medications, cold meat and vegetables etc. The plan is to stay overnight on the road but have a base where we want to explore/visit. By having picnics on the road costs are minimised. Of course Cracker Barrel and Denny's are always there just in case. Also Starbucks in larger towns for a pick me up Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino Venti no whip for Mike while I stuck to a Mocha Frappuccino Grande no whip.

Made an unexpected visit to Texas to reconnect with Dan in Buda, Tx right outside of Austin. After several days with Dan, I had the opportunity to pop over to Decatur to see Aunt Doris, Uncle Archie, Dan & Denise. Thanks so much for the wonderful visit and hospitality Texas style. Archie & Doris wrestled up a delicious ...
