Now at 14,000 Kilometers
May 17 Swellendan 300 KM We are now in the Western Cape Area of South Africa. We were told to expect Rain at this time of year in the Cape Town/Western Cape Area; and sure enough, it is raining.
Weather has been unbelievably good for the last 3 months, so a couple of weeks of rain is no big deal.
We have now travelled 14,000 Kilometers. Should be close to, if not over 15,000 before we return to ...
Resting!
Didn't get very far... 80k from home, stayed a few days with friends in their private secluded 'nest'... wonderful... and wrote chapter 15 of 'No View From the Grave' .. my latest ripping yarn! Now finally on the road, heading for Prince Albert.

Plettenberg to Swellendam
... with a brief lunch break here. I was concerned that our guide book had misled us about this 'charming town' but once we got away from Voortrek Street - which, while full of shops, feels a little run down - the town is full of beautiful old thatched buildings and tree lined streets - our guest house, The Coachman, a prime example.
Pretty as it is I am keen to get to Cape Town tomorrow.
