Anyway, still feeling the effects of our last night/morning in Amsterdam, we bowled around the classic sightseeing spots with as much efficiency as we could muster in our hazy state. That perhaps explains why Antwerp seemed particularly pretty to us, however I think its traditional yet quirky charm goes beyond that. Tuesday 3rd April

Today I got up early, had my average breaky, packed and caught the bus back to the train station where I got the train to Gent. After the 20min train journey I arrived, put my stuff in the lockers and got the tram into the main old town. I had heard that Gent was like Brugge but with less tourists – I have to dispute this, not the less tourists ...
