We had a great drive over the "Top of the World Highway" which was all dirt, gravel, and some paving with potholes worse than the gravel. For our little Class B camper, it was a simple drive with fantastic views. Colleen was just glad to have it over, as we've been hearing from other travelers how challenging this road was. ... RV park in Palmer. I am hot in my winter clothes. We had the air conditioning on. Susan sits by the thermostat and reports on the numbers VERY frequently.
We only drove 277 miles today, but we stopped frequently to admire the mountains, lakes, streams, rivers. When we stop for the night we are tired from scanning the scenery all day.
It is very noisy here compared to the quietness of being in the middle of nowhere for many, many days.
