... several guys in to hell that gave him a hard time, don't mess with Michelangelo or you could end up in hell. We end our day at St. Peters basilica, the largest church on earth. We've seen some big cathedrals but this is absolutely mind boggling. The ceiling, the dome, the pillars, everything is just amazing. Amazing and appalling all at the same time. ... inside of the Basilica was outstanding and I quote from a Jewish friend, "I am Jew and this is hands down the sweetest inside of a building I have ever seen." Words and pictures do not do this place justice. It was time for me to leave, sadly and back off to London! Only to arrive to my parents! ... us, Lauren, gave a presentation on the staute of "The Dying Gaul", which is quite famous.
By this point we were all exhausted and overheated.....we had been on our feet in the heat for 7 hours! After seeing a few more things in the Capitoline it was time to head back to the Centro...I got back around 5pm.
