... enjoyed a delicious meal of chowder, clam strips and fish and chips at the famous Barb's Restaurant -- which was really more of a stand with outdoor tables. I wondered at its fame (it's in all the travel literature) until I had the food: easily the best fish and chowder I can remember having anywhere.

The area is unique in its community of floating houses of every shape and size. We were sorely tempted to buy one of them ...

... it seems a very jovial place.

It's not a big place, so exploring didn't take long, but it was very lively as there was a dragon-boat festival on that had brought in some extra crowds. We had a snoop around the harbour-side areas where all this was happening and then moved off just north of there to find some lunch. We'd been recommended to try a place called Canoe, but found the menu to be rather uninspiring and came back towards town. ...

... I ended up getting out 2nd last so went to have a nap and ended up sleeping for the next four hours!! I felt bad but was so tired!! The next day mom and I headed to the mall and had coffee and looked around was nice and then headed to her friend from high school Shelly's place .. Had another coffee and then headed home.. ... to Vancouver wasn't very busy and, although we had bought the preference two seats at the rear of the plane, we were happy to take three seats; as did most people. ... spoke English- could say a word, Alice turns around and says "Yeah, nothing wrong, just go" and the captain pulls the throttle again all the way. He even made an extra round as Alice enjoyed it so much... I almost rolled out of the boat laughing.
