    ... wildlife Conservation Centre, a non-profit organisation which has a program to raise orphan or damaged wildlife and promote endangered species. They have a large herd of Wood bison, bred from the remnant herd they have in Canada (observed by us in 1977 at Banff), and are taking part in releasing them into the wild. They also have a herd of Akun Elk which they will use to reintroduce them to Akun Island in the Aleutian Islands.
