          With the
weather on the improve, we were heading north over the mountains to visit Tina
and Fred who live in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Glestelle and Tom were going solo to
Williamsburg and Jamestown to catch up on some of the early history of the USA.

          We bid them
farewell and were on our way. We will
catch up with them in Washington DC in about a week.

          The drive
over the Appalachian Mountains is ...

I will be traveling with students to see Amsterdam, Paris, and London in order to visit museums, architectural sites, and areas of historical significance. By visiting these places in person, I am hoping to fulfill the part of our College's Mission Statement to prepare and inspire students for success and thoughtful engagement in the world. I can think of ...

Having flown in yesterday he had disappeared off to the local Harley shop to buy some new waterproof boots (apparently the ordinary Harley boots fail in this rather fundamental area). And then we were up bright and early this morning to pick up the rental bike (yet to be named – it is sparkly and navy blue – however there’s no rush because we ...

We left Cleveland this morning around 6:00 am, and drove to Frank Lloyd Wright's incredible design, "Falling Water" in Mill Run, PA. What an amazing structure. I can definitely see myself living there. I wonder how a cantilevered structure over the Corrotoman River would look???

After lunch in PA, we headed into West Virginia..."Wild and Wonderful" (according to the welcome sign). We ended up in Bridgeport, ...

By noon, we had gassed up 3 times, been through a rain shower, travelled 307 kms (probably 100 of them in construction zones) and had just finished lunch at Burger King. We all ordered their chicken salad with different kinds of cheeses and kept the young lady in the back ...
