Food on the plane was first rate, both for a late supper and breakfast. A free (small) bottle of red wine too, that was of very acceptable quality. We arrived at Heathrow about noon on Jan 1st but they kept the window shades closed so it seed like night until the very last part of the flight.

We had a terrific time with my niece Robyn and her partner Jeremy, finally meeting four month old Lilyjane, and seeing Robyn's son Tristan again after too many years. It was lovely to see Sue (Robyn's mom) as well.

We finished off our night in Edmonton with dinner at Alicia and Maddi's mums house. Another amazingly huge house and now Dan and I have very high expectations for our house in the future. Here we saw The Bow river (not sure what's with everything being called Bow!) and the remnants of the huge flood that swept through in 2013.
