We left Haines at 8:30 AM and came back about 8 PM. Went by boat down to Juneau where a bus took us downtown. We had 3 hours to look around downtown. There were three cruise ships in port so there was a lot of people buying up all the stuff.

We ate lunch and were picked up by the bus and taken to Mendenhall Glacier. We had about an ...

Began the day with rain. By mid afternoon there was some sun but low cloud on the mountains. Night time was just just beautiful. Very calm & scattered cloud. 17C
Woke at 6:45 to be ready for 7:30 breakfast. We again sat with Chris & Lorraine and Denis & Judy which was nice. We do get on very well together. Sunday was spent relaxing on our balcony and on the Lido
deck. We saw several whales and Nita saw a few dolphins too. The scenery is
breath taking. We’re trying to capture some of it in pictures and a few videos.
Even then we don’t think we can convey the feeling of peace and tranquility. I
would recommend this cruise to everyone.

... the adventure. Tracy's Arm is a spectacular fjord with sheer cliffs that rise and plummet some 7 000 feet. The mist and clouds hung low today and we were in the cloud as we sailed forward and could only imagine the peaks. The tree line was visible, the sheer cliffs and thundering waterfalls were visible, but shrouded in the constant mist of the clouds we could only imagine the summit of these walls. It was like travelling through a set for a George Lucas ...

... 1. It is very cold in Alaska. 2. Always carry dry socks on any excursion. 3. There are CCTV cameras scanning the balconies. 4. There is no way two people can fit in the shower cubicle. 5. Some people should never be in the hot tub....ever. 6. Queues and turn taking are only for North and South Americans, Europeans, Africans and Australians ....Indian and Asian guests are exempt .... apparently. 7. Don't bother putting the rainproof gear in the backpack, you need it at least twice every ...
