Thursday 9th August was a very laid back day.

Out for Breakfast at the Core Cafe Paddington with Cousin Brian and his daughter Olivia, then home to watch the Individual Dressage final on TV. What a fabulous competition and brilliant display of Freestyle Dressage to Music. Very fitting that the winning test was done to 'Land of Hope and Glory' and the chimes of Big Ben.

Another evening dining out with Brian, as I have said before, ...

So, I stupidly thought that we would just pack up our lives and head into the exciting wild yonder, blissfully with ease and poetically skipping around like we live in some little song. How wrong could I have been?

Erik has this brilliant expression that I think sums it all up: he says that as we grow older, our tail grows longer...and each time we turn, we have to be careful as our tail will hit more things. So true! So true!

Since our meeting we have decided to have our own stand up comedy routine called Alice and Sam, and tried this out numerous times on our room mates, who seemed quiet pleased with the workings of a muppet like Australian, and Woopie Golburg like songstress.
