Up and pack up the RV, sort out everything that seemed to make its way from one end to the other.

Back to Atlanta and return the RV. Taxi to airport and collect the car for the next week.

We have decided that we will make the journey across to South Carolina and visit our new friends. They really wanted us to come and meet their wives and families.

What was supposed to be a 2 hour drive from Atlanta turned out to be 4 hours for us. We ...

... An unforgettable 11 months. The frogs are singing, the owl is calling. I must go home now.

Final Observations

Well, if you've sat through the whole collection of vacation slides, you'll be glad to know that's the end of 'em! And I didn't post more than about a quarter of what I took!

So how did it all come out once we got home?

Fabulous trip. Both parts. Couple hiccups along the way, not all of which I've shared with you or will share with you! But overall a wonderful experience.

Would I do it again? Yes, but not ...

As you may remember, I had a fabulous train trip in 2012. I saw some wonderful places; heard some fantastic concert, opera, and Dixieland jazz performances; spent a never-to-be-forgotten weekend with Andrea in Istanbul; and then Judy joined me in Barcelona, and we topped it all off by touring Spain together.

We kept in touch with you by blog, but it didn't always work as seamlessly as I had hoped, while we were on the road.
