... to a cheese factory we got the Vermont cheese sampler at The Vermont pub & Brewery. Also tried some local brews, the Citizen cider... which was like champagne of ciders and V.I.P.A. their Vermont ipa. After taking off we decided not to sneak into Canada and headed toward South Hero to catch the car ferry into Plattsburgh, NY. We didn't hit an ...

87 degree temps does not encourage fall colors! However, a stop at Ben @ Jerry's eased the warm day. Crossed from VT to NY via Lake Champlain ferry ($23). Ausable Chasm was worth the stop...and provided a scenic hike. Colorful trees amidst interesting layers of rock were amazing! Had it now for 3 days and buying suitable medication for the symptoms requires considerable pharmaceutical expertise in the cheap Dollar Stores. I plumped for something that is supposedly the "same" as paracetomol, but it could just as easily be a "horse pill". I am still alive nonetheless.

After staying in some dirty, smelly motels along our route so far we checked AirBnB to see if there was anything a little nicer in the Adirondacks for some time away from Interstate roads. We were heading towards Point O Pines, Rachael's camp that I had heard so much about for the past 4 years, and then deeper into the Adirondack state ...
