Tomorrow we’ll discuss Midsummer Night’s Dream then Miriam Gilbert will be in to talk to us about Harold Pinter’s Homecoming. Miriam is the University of Iowa professor who ran the NEH seminar that brought me to Stratford the very first time—in 1992. (Can it be?????) She is always wonderful (we’ve had her for at least one play every time I’ve been back), and I am looking forward to seeing her ...

... cold and was often watered down. The apple juice had enough sugar to make anyone an instant diabetic. The dinners there were actually pretty good, and the servings were big, but overall I would never stay there again, mainly because of the other people staying there. Some of the staff just need to be reminded that the guests are actually paying to stay there, not being paid to stay there.
