... rail staff, they're really not interested. -Do visit the Tower Bridge after dark, its really well lit at night and is great to take photos of. - Do also wander around the city after dark, there are lots of buildings illuminated and great reflections in the Thames. -Don't expect Buckingham Palace to be lit at night, I think Lizzy must be keen on energy conservation and flicks the off switch early. -Do visit Buckingham Palace during the day, ...

... it was only the beginning! For the next 40 minutes or so they pulled out all the stops to scare us out of our wits …. and they did a pretty good job. ... go through security again. Apparently every terminal has its own security. The pro of English airport security is that you don't have to remove your shoes (unless you're me and you set of the alarms. Every. Single. Time.) the negative is that they're like super duper serious about the liquids. You have to put all of them in a plastic bag. Which is protocol in the usa but they've never bugged me about it when I don't. Here they will literally search through all ...

    ... in London.

Tuesday night I left on the Eurostar train from Paris to London which takes only 2 hours. Once in London, I checked into my new home for the next 3 days, the YHA London Central Hostel. We somehow got upgraded to a 4 bed room with an en-suite bathroom, which was exciting until we met one of our roommates. We had been put with an old man who was living out of plastic bags. This meant that the next morning when he was getting ready (for 2 hours ...
