... a couple of whiskeys and I had a Drambuie. The food being served looked and smelled great so we decided to come back tomorrow night for dinner.
We had a great few hours and look forward to more of the same tomorrow :)
MONDAY: I felt like the pressure was on as Tony decided to come along with us to the Royal Yacht Brittania. Not sure how it would be but according to Trip Advisor was meant to be fabulous.
We caught the bus ...
... biting wind. It is the home to Scotland's second largest University, St Andrews, therefore has a large student population.
Dinner tonight at the Royal Over-Seas Club, which was very relaxing after a tiring day.

... of a Turner painting. By contrast the RAF were conducting training overhead with sinister looking black fighter jets. In the warm car and back to Edinburgh we past several large tractors of the freeway with loads of turnips. It was reminder that this city has close connection to agriculture. Our journey back to Edinburgh was uneventful through the improving weather. Back at the hotel we found a nearby pizza place that served gluten free pizza and had an early night. Good ...
... up to the royal mile, walked along it, almost up to the castle and got to the hostel. (castle rock hostel). I checked in, got to my room, then unpacked, got ready for tomorrow and then left the
hostel to find dinner – it was now about 9pm. I went up the street and found a pub, i got some food and a beer and ate and drank. I then went back to the hostel, downloaded and sorted pictures, uploaded pictures, used the WiFi, relaxed and then went to bed.
... and then there was a free ghost tour of the town. I was hoping it would be a little bit more scary but it was actually more interesting than anything. We headed back for an early night and met our other roommates, two from Canada and another one from US. We woke up so somewhat early the next day and headed to Starbucks to start the day. Then off to Edinburgh castle. The castle was beautiful like any other but it was not as much fun cause most of the buildings, ...
