... the many trees and bushes making it a great place to have lunch. Of course no trip to San Antonio would be complete without a trip to The Alamo. Not far from our hotel the Indian mission know as the Alamo, made famous by the courageous stand in 1836 by Davy Crockett and about 290 Texans who faced an overwhelming force ...

... s all about. After that we headed out in Austin for the evening which was pretty cool and plenty going off nightlife wise. Sunday, we came back to New Braunfels and took a nap before playing footy again in Cals boss' back garden. A pretty rich guy so it's a big garden. First stop was Austin, and then we headed onwards to San Antonio; the bus was quiet then so I manage to kick Ross onto another seat so we had two each :) Reached the destination, plenty of taxis waiting to take us everywhere, we pulled up at a parking lot though so Monday morning is going to be a little creepy in the dark. The hotel was right in the middle of the river-walk, ...

... straight down to 410 and on into home. We unpacked everything. This time we had taken everything out of the places we would not be able to get to with the slides in so it was easier to unpack. This trip we drove 1276 miles, stayed in 4 campgrounds, and saw towns, canyons, famous people, gliders, and windmills. Texas has some interesting things to see. Next trip is short, just to Bandera for a ...
