18 on Crox Cape Town

An absolute gem

I travel frequently to Cape Town on business and was referred to 18 on Crox as an alternative to my usual hotels. I was absolutely delighted! The room was beautifully furnished with every comfort and the level of service was very high. There was always someone around to make sure I was nourished and happy. The location is very convenient, in a quiet street and parking was available. Wireless internet was easy to setup and I was given access to the guest house fax machine. I will definately stay there again and would recommend the guest house to both business and leisure travellers.

4 Star With 5 Star Service

I stayed at 18 on Crox earlier this month and have to say that my perception of staying in a guesthouse has been totally changed. Arriving very late (past midnight) it was very refreshing to be greeted in person by the owners Stephan and Andrew. We quickly completed the check-in formalities and then I was left to go straight to my room and relax after my long flight from Europe.

In the room, there was a silver tray with some Port, some savoury snacks and a chocolate. I thought this was something special for my late arrival, but in the coming days, I saw that this was all part of the service given.

Though not huge, my room was very comfortable and had all the amenities that I needed during my stay. A proper size flat screen television and even a DVD player that allowed me to watch some DVDs that I had purchased in the duty free shop! Unfortunately I did not have time to watch some of the movies that are freely available for your own private use.

As I was on business I needed to have access to my email and was concerned when I could not see a data port for my laptop in the bedroom. One of the owners, Andrew, said not to worry we have wireless Internet Access available throughout the whole building. This is fine if your laptop has a wireless card. However, my laptop is rather dated and does not have a wireless card. Again I am told that this is not a problem and within a few minutes I have a plug-in wireless adaptor installed and I am connected. Considering it was now getting close to 1 o'clock in the morning I was very impressed that my needs were taken care of so efficiently and in a friendly manner.

I spent only four days at 18 on Crox, but have already made arrangements for my next stay later this year. I saved a considerable amount of money by not staying in my usual hotel near the Waterfront and by no means compromised on the standard of service that I have to come to expect whenever I travel.

I would recommend 18 on Crox to anyone who is visiting Cape Town on business or for pleasure.

Stephan and Andrew go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable without ever being intrusive. And if you are one for paying attention to detail, then you are just going to love the stylish and elegant surroundings that make up the public areas and your bedroom

Andrew and Stephan are the perfect hosts in a perfect guesthouse. The standard of service and surroundings were fantastic. Will definitely be going back and recommending all my family and friends to go there too! You won't want to leave!!

Spoil yourself

Stephan & Andrew have done a very special thing with 18 on Crox. A perfect blend of feeling at home and being totally spoilt. From the luxury bedding, the chocolates on our pillows to fresh breakfast and the waiting welcome every evening on our return.

Great location, close to the Waterfront and all the Down Town restaurants. Easy access to all main routes for a day of sightseeing or just as easy to spend a relaxing day right there by the pool.

Exquisite Hotel

We stayed at the 18 on Crox for four nights at the end of November 2005. It was the end of our two weeks holiday in South Africa and we were looking for a special place. It was the perfect hotel.

Located in a quite street in Green Point, the area has a charmy village feel. The hotel is exquisitely designed and decorated. The service is also outstanding. We specially enjoyed the healthy breakfasts, which the hosts prepared to our request.

Above all, I have never seen in any hotel before, the hospitality that the hosts Andrew and Stephan showed at all times. They both welcomed us after having been patiently waiting for us late at night, as our flight was delayed for five hours when we arrived to Cape Town. They pay so much attention to every single detail in order to make your stay confortable. And they were excellent at giving us advice and tips on restaurants, places of interest, etc.

We will definitely return soon and we will recommend this exquisite hotel to all our friends travelling to Cape Town.

Ein echter Geheimtip

Dieses versteckte Guesthouse an idealster ruhiger Lage in Cape Town darf kein Gehiemtip bleiben. Ich bin restlos überzeugt und begeistert davon. Allein schon die Ankunft wurde zum Erlebnis: Die herzliche und gastfreundliche Begrüssung in der geschmacksvoll eingerichteten Lounge neben dem sonnigen Poolbereich verscheuchte sämtliche Reisemüdigkeit. Stephan und Andrew sind ausgezeichnete Gastgeber und verstehen es aufs Beste, ihre Gäste im richtigen Masse zu verwöhnen. Alle Zimmer sind individuell und stilvoll eingerichtet, der Zimmerservice excellent, das Morgenessen sehr reichhaltig und frisch und im ganzen Haus herrscht eine entspannte und angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich genoss eine erholsame Woche und habe meinen nächsten Aufenthalt in 18 on Crox bereits eingeplant.

Perfection

we stayed 4 nights at the beginning of December and only have great things to say about it.

The place is beautiful, the decor is elegant and yet very homely and the location is great as well.

The service we received was better than could be expected, Things like them reorganizing our room and leaving wine and chocolate waiting near our bed every evening when we returned in the evening. They even arranged the breakfast menu according to our requests.

Andrew and Stephan (I hope i spelt correctly) are great hosts who stopped at nothing to make us feel at home and even recommended restaraunts and called to make our bookings for us. All we had to do was relax and enjoy the holiday.

Will definitly be back for more. and would recommend it strongly to anyone asking.

Fabulous Boutiqe Hotel!

I stayed at 18 on Crox in September this year for a week. It's a beautifully designed and decorated property with bedrooms that rival many 5 star properties I have stayed in, with contemporary yet comfortable design, frette linen, Satellite TV and DVD players etc. It's both stylish and secluded enough to accomodate the most fashion-conscious clientelle and has a real 'home fom home' feel!

Andrew and Stephan were the perfect hosts, attentive but never intrusive and able to offer helpful tips and advice on where to go / what to see etc. It's a hidden gem - hurry up and discover it!

The Ultimate Place to Stay

I am a regular business traveller to Cape Town and got tired of using the standard hotels so I decided to try out the Guest House option instead. What a wonderful decision. I always feel like I am at home when at 18 on Crox. The house is personal, warm and has every extra touch that one would need. No detail has been left out. The hosts even took the time to find out my likes and dislikes and each night I am presented with a host of drink and my favorite goodies. The rates are excellent, as is the service and ambience. I would highly recommend 18 On Crox to any traveller to Cape Town, be it for pleasure or on business.

An absolutely great place to stay!

We recently spent four nights at this fantastic "boutique" Hotel. The quality of the rooms and communal areas were of the highest standard. The hosts were outstanding and paid particular attention to our every need. The hotel is ideally placed; in a quiet street, but with easy access to many of the Cape Town attractions.
