... we went back to hotel for a few hours before trying at 5pm to get a cab for the Blue Note. That was really a challenge for the hotel guy and it took probably 20+ minutes! But we eventually got one and got there about ten of 6... Perfect time to get in line and wait for doors to open at 6. We got tickets on their website but using American Express card which got us reserved seats which we would do again. The venue is VERY crowded and close with everyone ...

Although above freezing, the day was grey, damp and threatening rain. After a nice breakfast in the small dining room ( pastries, fresh fruit), we bundled up and went to walk. Went south to B & H, window shopping along the way. We had really good lunch at Havana NY, a Cuban restaurant we happened upon on our way back to hotel. We were supposed to go to NYC on Sunday dec 15 but Jerry had a sinus infection and I was battling a respiratory thing so the hotel graciously allowed us to drop a day. So Monday we decided around 11am to go in spite of not feeling well. We packed quickly and headed to NYC. Road trip was fine until we decide to follow apples navigation and ended up coming through Astoria! Got there about 5pm ...

I had planned to cross at St Stephen so I could pass by the chocolate factory, but the road actually goes directly to the new crossing and I did not realize I had to take the exit.

Highway 9 was open and clear. The view of the wild blueberry fields in the fall is quite beautiful as all the plants turn bright red.

I drove almost 1,000 Km's today and when I stopped, the ground kept moving.

I had a nice supper of salmon, broccoli ...
