After a day at home, we had to leave once again, this time to our son's house in the Lompoc area. This last part of our vacation was to last thru the week.

Upon the death of Dale’s parents, the siblings decided to meet every other year, for a weekend, at the site of the host sibling’s choice. We have met at the home of one, Lake Tahoe, Duluth and Rehoboth Beach. During this time, we lost 1 sibling, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and a granddaughter.

One of them had the audacity to go past us, give us a big smile and then go flying back down to help an American rider who they'd hooked up with ...

This morning we woke up in our car full of excitement, because today we would have our most beautiful drive ahead of us. We started our day with a breakfast at McDonalds and planed our day trip. Then we went on our way, we drove on Highway 1 and started driving down south. On the way up we made several stops to enjoy the incredible, amazing view and to make some pictures.
We took a 17 mile detour to see more ...

... University. The tour company's description of Solvang - 'Antiquated windmills and Northern European style architecture punctuate this charming village's skyline. Brilliant sunshine, boundless open country and rolling hills - these are the characteristics that inspired the original Danish immigrants who settled in this area to call it Solvang or Sunny Field'. After a long journey and a brief stop as one of ...
