It's been a good time here in Glasgow - I have gotten to know this large city of 600,000 fairly well, particularly the west end. I took the tourist bus tour and sat on top, which gives you a wonderful perspective of all the sites. I have now been to several pubs and have reached the conclusion that while I like pub food, I really like Indian curry …

... actual stairs, there were rocks piled in random ways and you had to clip in once again and use a rope to climb up. After this we made our way back to the van and headed back for lunch. I wish I had video taped the entire thing because my descriptions do the actual events no justice. I probably won't do it again but I'm glad I did it once. It is dedicated to King Oswald of Northumbria (ca. 604-642), who is believed to have preached on this site sometime before 642 AD when he died in battle. The River Rothay runs beside the church. While there in town, we dropped in, and a graduation ceremony was going on for the local ...

... more tests will need to be done, but I am confident in their ability to get to the bottom of this and have no doubts in the excellence of our health care system. (Yeah, I'm actually serious. I didn't ever think I'd ever be praising the NHS so much either!) I'm not sure what is next on the agenda but definitely something within the next month, so watch this space! We will either return to South America to do the rest of our trip, or we might do something else... For now, over and ...
