Well, got to Glasgow about 12.30 pm local time.

Going through customs was a breeze compared to going between NZ and Aus. Just filled out a simple form and walked through. No space on the form to declare anything (which I didn't have anyway.) Got met by Matt, my driver. The car was a Mercedes, lovely :)

Driving into the city I thought, Oh look, just another city but then reminded myself where I ...

She actually has so many great stories to tell, and so much wisdom.

          It is a beautiful existence.
Because you see, she doesn't know I exist.
My days slide by into infinity. I don't have much to eat so when she's out, I venture into her kitchen and nibble at the treats displayed ...

... and up the stairs into the lounge. Easy. Very nice ship. Just had fish and chips with mushy peas for lunch. Love mushy peas. They tell us that it is a one to two metre swell. Don't think it's any good for surfing, Daryl. Haven't seen any so far. Lots of white caps though. Absolutely no engine noise and it seems a very smooth ride... You just sway from side to side as you walk. We arrive in an hour and ...

Our sunny days seem to have left us and today is overcast and cold. Esther, Bob, Gwen and Iven caught their train south to spend a few days in York. Doug and I also headed to Waverley Station but we went west to Glasgow. We were booked on the 10 am train but were early and caught the 9.45 instead. We came directly to the Albion Hotel where we have a very spacious and lovely room. We had enough time to find a laundrette ...
