Friday (day 3) was an amazing day on the road. I tried to meet up with Shannon who will be my room mate in Florida. She recommended a diner just down the road from where I stayed. It was in one of those very old buildings with crooked floors and a tiny ladies washroom.

... darn delicious. We finished the meal by splitting fried cheesecake bites that we dipped in chocolate sauce. Okay so we ate like pigs but we split everything so at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been and we got in that great workout. Justified pigging out! At the end of the night we were stuffed with food, the Pats had conquered the Broncos and we were ready for bed. Another night and another ...

Off on Route I 66 W to Front Royal for the night. It is the second Saturday in October - Festival of Leaves as well as being the first day of the long weekend for Columbus Day. The Quality Inn did not inspire us and the helpful lady at the visitors centre suggested some others. Super 8 was booked out and I think we have one of the last rooms at Cool Harbor. ...
... trip because my mom was a wuss. And then another time with my mother for her first time outside! Sadly that time we couldn't stay very long because there was an incident on a friends climbing trip to Seneca, but luckily everybody was okay.
The Talking Headwall seems like a classic, I am sure I will visit there more in the future :) Hopefully Buzzards next door too!

Life is such a strange journey. For the first time, I love my life and I truly love myself.
