    Beach Paradise

Today started like the last few. An early wake up for me and a nice gentle sleep in for Lisa. Today Lisa was happy to make breakfast and did a wonderful job. The day started cloudy and we weren't sure whether it would be a good day to camp out at the beach for the whole day. We decided to go anyway and the cloud cover soon moved to a beautiful sunny day. The water was amazing and fresh like ice to our warm ...

... is very beautiful and clean and we were completely trigger-happy with the camera. The narrow alleyways go in all directions and you get completely lost but it doesn't matter. When you are ready to leave, you just head back down to the water. Caught the last (10pm) Seabus back with the gang and had a nightcap at the tavern near our dock.

    An expensive but beautiful sunset

Today we decided to explore Mykonos town. After Adam's breakfast we set off for town using the buses. It was due to leave at 10.40, but I guess Mykonos also runs by island time as it arrived at 11! Our first jobs were to drop off our washing and book our ferry tickets. After this we set off exploring. Firstly we found the windmills. There were five old windmills overlooking the sea. A very picturesque spot! We walked through the restaurants and bars ...

... and not too expensive. Some excursions are included, some aren't. However! The food in the buffet is nothing to write home about. The cakes are tasteless, the fruit selection is small and either not ripe or bumped and soft. The drinks are watery. If you get hungry outside of the restaurants opening hours, fx during the day, too bad. There is a small fitness centre with a few machines and very little space for mat/ball ...

... are amazing shades of blue and crystal clear. I was reminded of Pippin while enjoying the harbour view - there was a dog at one of the homes on the harbour who would bark at every person who swam past 'his' house. Tonight we went to a small village further inland for dinner at Plakostroto Taverna. Located in the village of San Michalis, the taverna overlooks the sea towards Andros. The tiny church in the village has amazing views of Tinos and Mykonos. Our hotel's owner, Yannis ...
