... which are endemic to Cuba.

We had got off our boats a little further down the river and found ourselves surrounded by just quiet nature. It was dead quiet with only the view of mountains and the never ending river. We zig zagged across the pebbled floor till we found a decent spot by the river to have a cool dip. We weren't alone. Further down the river, we could see another group of local Cubans who had already started their day picnic before us and were already in ...

At 8:45 we left for the cacao farm which was 20 minutes outside of the city in a beautiful location.. Our weather in Baracoa has been superb. El Flaco was our guided and showed us how cacoa was harvested and processed on the farm. 40 - 60% goes to the state and the rest is used by the farm or to sell. The chocolate was outstanding. The farm raises many other fruits as well. Then we drove to a coconut farm owned by Raphael, who is 92 and his wife ...
