We dropped an hour or so trying to launder in our room, before giving up and packing ourselves off to the laundromat. Through windy alleys we found our way to a little Laundromat all set up next to a pizza bar. Two litres, three pizzas, a vodka, two dupio macchiato's and two gelatos later the laundry was done and so were we :)
The weather was fantastic all day, from what I could lake out ...

... a private sales pitch red velvet seats and all. Decided lack of sales saw us being ushered out by a fixed grinned salesman. Lack lustre lunch. Haggled the gondola ride down by 20 euro and experienced an entertaining punt around the canals. Just the right amount of commentary combined with singing (his and ours) mingled with fellow gondolier banter during a canal bottleneck makes for a memory worthy highlight of the day (and adds competition amongst the high lights!). What ...

    The Canals of Venice

Today our wandering around Venice was slightly more targeted, we had to get train tickets, print some vouchers (for our Croatia cruise), book our gondola ride and try the best gelato in Venice (as recommended by Jessie).

The streets were much the same as yesterday, still very magical and there was many a photo opportunity. The reason we had to get our train tickets was because we couldn't find the train on the internet and we were worried we would not be able to get to ...
