... we’ve heard it’s the place to see. Apparently a few other people heard the same thing. The crowds rival anything we have seen on our travels so far. Ok, let’s try to find the Rialto Bridge. Same thing. Maybe a gondola ride? There are cries of "Gone doh LAH" everywhere so it shouldn’t be a problem. Ah, eighty euros for the short trip? Maybe we’ll just wander ...

... safe and found our apartment building easily. Venice at night is so beautiful, with the lights glistening in the water, the gondolas moving through the canals...oh it's just so lovely and makes me feel good too. With the boat seemling on a lean the whole time, it wasn’t the most tranquil ride, but it was rather a fun way to see Venice. We looked like one long snake weaving ourselves amongst the waterways and old buildings.

... Venice 1.75 hours late at 4 pm. Caught bus from airport to Piazza Roma Bus Interchange on Venice Island and then had trouble trying to locate an ATM as we had little cash. Finally found the local PO and cashed up, we then had to locate the Venice Apartments Office (from sketchy instructions) to collect keys and directions to find our apartment from a locked box, as office was closed on ...
