We where picked up from the caravan park by bus for the pearl farm tour, we where taken across corrugated roads to get there it was a great massage for free, once we got there we where taken to a tin shed and we learnt how the pearl was developed by the oyster, then taken by boat to the oyster farm and shown the processes of pearling, while we where out on the boat we saw a croc sunning itself on the banks of the beach and wouldn't you know it, I did not have my camera with me.
After the boat ride we went to the pearl shop to find Julia a set of pearl ear rings, Julia had an open cheque book for a pear but declined as there price was $1500.00 + and she felt the pricing was a bit to inflated for what you got.
The staff where great - the tour was an eye opener but come with lots of money if you want any peal jewellery.
