The hiking trip started off as planned for a "Q" hike around Torres Del Paine. Was quickly adjusted by the weather with the rain, wind and ongoing snow closing the backside of the circuit along with the wind shutting down the French Valley.
Bring waterproof bags, 2 sets of comfortable shoes, a bombproof and waterproof tent and a "can-do-it" mentality and you will have a great time.
Word of warning, the snickers bars at the refugios are $6, which is more expensive than at Gorak Shep by Everest Base Camp, so stock up before coming.
You will be in awe of the Towers once you reach the top. ANd to imagine that there are men/women crazy enough to actually climb those things! Cheers to them, they are amazing.
