Lush view at night!
mishoooo 1 contribution Abingdon, United Kingdom Feb 15, 2013
It was £17 odd per person, as we purchased our tickets online, which I think is about appropriate for what you get. Amazing views at night time. Goes up rather high, higher than you'd think, but offers great views over the capital. Not sure I'd do it again, though. It was one of those 'been there, done that' experiences for me.

A great way to see London from a bird's eye perspective
frankenichols 11 contributions White Plains, NY, United States Sep 25, 2012
This is a great way to see London. If you go in the summer, book your tickets online to miss the lines. If not, you can get the tickets right at the entrance. The trip takes about an hour and gives you a great view of the city. Should not be missed.

stromboley11 1 contribution Boiling Springs, United States Aug 29, 2012
It was very expensive, almost 20 pounds. The ride doesn't last that long, maybe twenty minutes. You do get a good view of London, and we went at night so that was cool. But that is more than the admission price for the Tower of London, and we made an entire afternoon/evening out of the Tower, whereas the Eye only takes about 20 minutes. I suppose it's worth going to say that you've done it, but I would spend my money elsewhere.

'I Flew the Eye"
michelleyeager 1 contribution Denver, United States Jul 17, 2012
Riding the London Eye was a great treat! We went at night and the view from the Eye was spectacular, we could see Big Ben and many other places lit up. It would certainly be interesting to ride during the day. The price was a little high as can be expected with the attraction, but it is well worth it. My only regret was not drinking champagne during the ride, if I had the money I would definitely pay for that extra luxury. Overall a great experience.

London Eye on a clear day
gregad 5 contributions United States Dec 10, 2011
If you're in London, and the weather is good, take time to ride the London Eye. The largest Ferris wheel that I've ever seen. At 442 feet above the River Thames, London Eye provides excellent vistas of London.
For about £20, you get 30 minutes in the capsule which holds about 25 people, and the London Eye experience which is a 3D presentation in the main building. This review is the subjective opinion of a TravelPod member and not of TravelPod.com.

O atractie foarte populara a Londrei este London Eye. Aceasta roata imensa te poarta deasupra Londrei, oferindu-ti imagini spectaculoase. Este o placere sa zbori peste acest oras fascinant si sa ii descoperi comorile de la inaltime.

Tourist Trap!
queenythelu 1 contribution San Jose, United States Aug 21, 2010
I was really excited to go on this huge ferris wheel that I have seen for years and years and once I got on it, it was dreadful because it was such a gloomy day. It took about 30 minutes for one full round and it was about 2-3 minutes of picture taking at the top of the wheel and then back down again. It was not worth 15 pounds at all!
