What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than aboard a boat cruising the Bosphorus. Istanbul is the only city in the world that straddles two continents and the boat was the perfect way to see along both the European shoreline, on our way out, and Asian side upon our return. As well as superb views of the city, we also saw beautiful imperial palaces, mansions perched on the water's edge, fortresses and traditional Ottoman wooden houses. Really beautiful out on the water and offers a different perspective of Istanbul.
We took an afternoon cruise, booked through Viator "Bosphorus Cruise and Istanbul's Egyptian Bazaar". It also included a trip to the Spice or Egyptian Bazaar which was a great added bonus. We got picked up and dropped off to our hotel, had a great friendly English speaking guide and spent around four hours on the tour in total, half of that time on the water. We felt it was good value for money considering what we got to see.
Great way to spend an afternoon.
