Prices are relatively inexpensive, although you can see mud pools in other parts of New Zealand for free. But the geysers here are pretty cool and is a great experience, especially the Pohutu geyser. Its height (up to 100ft) and regularity in explosions (every 20min) is something that you truly unique.
The site also has a kiwi exhibition (NZ's national bird), you even get to see one in a darkened enclosure.
They have workshop and huge gift shop that cells unique Maori gifts. Prices vary, but everyone would be able to find a souvenir.
