"... because of their lack of faith."
This Church (it's actually two) is built on the site of the first-century synagogue of Nazareth -- where Jesus proclaimed himself messiah and was first rejected by his own friends and family. As the gospel of Luke tells us, the people actually responded to this by trying to throw him off the brow of a cliff (Mount Precipice) just outside of town.
The current churches are nice but not outstanding architecturally, but the site is still an essential part of any visit to Nazareth, at least to get a sense of the geography.
