The Russian Market, otherwise known as Psa Toul Toumpong by the locals, is an "indoor" market which is open at the crack of dawn and closes by 5 pm. It has everything a market could possibly have including a pirated dvd section, a tailoring section, the freshest vegetables, fruit & meat sections, meal section, clothes section, jewelry section, etc.etc. You're expected to haggle every price that's thrown at you. It's possible to infer that everything is worth 50% less than the 1st price asked. Pretty dresses, cool shoes, brill bags of designer brands.... There's a big chance that you might encounter legitimate designer items for the average Market price as they're mostly made in Thai. So I guess they make it across the border somehow, into the hands of the street smart Cambodian entrepreneurs. The Market is a beautiful gilded landmark that can't be passed by unseen , if that makes any sense. Moreover, the amount of souvenirs available is overwhelming. It ranges from little necklaces to gilded pagodas.
Take small change.
