The whole experience at RCIP was fantastic, from the friendly staff who welcome you through the front door and the library of historical information to the sweeping lawns and original-decoration cottages. But the coolest part of the visit was Tea With Eleanor. There are two sessions that run (one you make a reservation for and one that is first come first serve) that both offer views of additional Roosevelt cottages that are not open to the public. The teas are early (10am EST, 11 ADT) and run about 1 hour. Here, you'll receive tea, cookies and a history of Eleanor's life hardships and accomplishments. She truly was a remarkable lady! The tea concludes with a tour of the first floor of the Hubbard Cottage (first come first serve tea).
