We got the train from Auckland to Manurea (I think that's how it was spelt) then we had a 2km walk to find Auckland's Botanic Gardens.
The walk was great as it let us see local people's houses and different streets of Auckland.
Once arriving at The Botanic Gardens the first word we both said was "wow!"...it was very green and you couldn't see the end of it as it was so big and open!
There were so many different sections you could visit from local New Zealand plant life to endangered plants & trees, Tribe& Native Plants, Asian plants & trees, Rose gardens & more! We spent around 2 hours walking round most sections of the gardens taking in the information and fresh crisp air as we went!
Very different atmosphere to Sydney's Botanic Gardens as this had more of a country like feel but both equally as beautiful!
