This small museum was right across the street from the hotel, or we might not have gone to it. It has a interesting display about the early history and the colonization of Sydney with some original photographs and artifacts. The short-term exhibition of Lloyd Rees drawings was fascinating. Although there were no guides or docents around while we were visiting, the explanatory material displayed with the artifacts answered most of our questions. It's worth a couple of hours time to learn more about Sydney's background.
