I thought the mountain would be fairly clear in March. Clearly I don't have much experience in the mountains. Still several feet of snow on the ground.
I was also to hike a short way along the trail from the lake that would lead up to Mt. Evans. This was because the snow was already packed down for part of the trail. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to go anywhere (no snowshoes, etc.). The scenery was great regardless. Very quiet.
