We were woken this morning again by the elks but this time it was the rangers moving them on from the site as they were getting to close to where people were camping. Apparently they come to the campgrounds to calf as they think it is safer as they are away from the bears etc..

The sun is shinning but it is just 2°C outside. We out all our warm cloth on to keep warm.

First, we took the Trans-Canadian Hwy and left it to drove on Bow Valley Parkway. It was a beutiful road along the mountains and river. On the way many viewing points with detailed descriptions were installed, so we stopped at some.< …

Today we went back to Lake Moraine to do a day hike to the Sentinel Pass. As now we were a group of 4 we were "allowed" to pass the sign that warned us on grizly bears.

Generally, it was recommended to speak loud and make noise while walking along the trail.

We drove from Jaspa to Lake Louise. We saw another black bear. We stopped at Columbia Icefield but did not go up to the icefield as it was very cold and expensive. In the evening we went for a walk round Moraine Lake.
