I have nothing else to compare the experience to... regardless, we really enjoyed our visit! The planation gardens are endless, the grounds are lush and there were endless photo opportunities of wildlife. We were greeted by a peacock in the parking lot and by another at the ticket booth. There is a cute little petting zoo with a strange collection of birds (including an albino peacock), goats, deer, bunnies, pigs, foxes and turtles. The gift shop was not great, and in the end we only got a few postcards. We paid an extra $8 to go on a nature tram ride and it was the best part of the visit. Our tour guide, Ron, was very funny and provided information about the plantation, the plants and the history of the area. We saw alligators and a variety of beautiful birds! If you have the chance to visit, its worth the effort!
