We had a fabulous day out experiencing life at the site of one of the fur trading posts on the Red River. Owned by the Hudson Bay Company, the site dates back to 1830. During the summer months, it comes to life once again, with costumed staff guiding you and demonstrating everything from black smithing to spinning to baking in historic ovens. Rich in history, a buffs delight! Beautiful setting and views over the river, a decent cafe and gift shop too.
